Responsible Gaming at VegaStar Casino
Last updated: 21 May 2026.
Gambling is entertainment, not a way to make money and not a way to manage stress. At VegaStar Casino we want every Filipino player to leave a session in roughly the mood they arrived in — relaxed, in control, and well within a budget they chose in advance. This page sets out the tools we provide to keep play safe, the warning signs that suggest play has stopped being fun, the Philippines-based help organisations you can reach today, and a short self-assessment. If gambling no longer feels like entertainment — for you or someone close to you — contact Gamblers Anonymous Philippines (0915 938 2808) or PAGCOR Responsible Gaming ((02) 8538 9090) today.
Our Commitment to Safer Gambling

VegaStar takes a prevention-first approach. Every account on our platform has built-in limit tools available from the first session; we publish honest bonus terms; and we align our practices with the PAGCOR Responsible Gaming Code of Practice v3.0 as the operational benchmark for the Philippine market. The the Tobique Gaming Commission licence under which we operate carries integrity duties around fair play, anti-money-laundering and player protection — duties we treat as a floor, not a ceiling. We do not use win-rate language in our marketing, we do not push players who self-exclude, and we never offer credit. Our 24/7 live chat is trained to recognise signs of distress and to surface help resources without judgement.
Common Myths About Gambling
- "I can win it back." Chasing losses is the single most reliable predictor of harm. Every spin is statistically independent of the last; losses do not earn a make-up round.
- "I am due for a win." Slot RNGs have no memory. A long losing streak does not increase the probability of the next outcome — the house edge is constant.
- "Slots get hot or cold." A slot does not warm up. The published RTP applies over millions of spins, not over your session.
- "My betting system will beat the house." No staking system changes the long-run house edge. Martingale and similar systems convert frequent small wins into rare catastrophic losses.
- "Color Game is skill, not chance." Color Game outcomes are dice-based; choosing a colour is not a skill. The Perya tradition is cultural; the maths is random.
- "PAGCOR-licensed casinos pay out more." Licensing assures integrity and dispute resolution, not personal win-rate. The house edge of a given JILI or Evolution title is the same on every licensed platform that runs it.
Recognising Problem Gambling
The signs below are adapted from the PGSI (Problem Gambling Severity Index) and the PAGCOR Self-Test. Two or three of them, persistently, is a signal worth acting on.
- Spending more time or money on gambling than you planned, repeatedly.
- Borrowing money to gamble, or gambling with money set aside for bills, rent, food or family.
- Hiding gambling activity from family, friends or co-workers.
- Lying about how much time or money has gone to gambling.
- Trying to win back losses by betting larger amounts.
- Feeling restless, irritable or low when not gambling.
- Neglecting work, school or family responsibilities because of gambling.
- Continuing to gamble despite negative consequences — financial, emotional or relational.
Player Protection Tools
Set the limit before you need it. All tools are available immediately on registration and can be tightened at any time; loosening any limit requires a 24-hour cooling-off period.
Deposit Limits (Daily / Weekly / Monthly)
Set a maximum amount in PHP that can be deposited within a day, a week or a calendar month. The cap applies across GCash, Maya, PayMaya and bank transfer combined. Lowering the limit takes effect instantly; raising the limit triggers a 24-hour cooling-off window before the new cap activates. Defaults of ₱5,000/day, ₱20,000/week and ₱50,000/month are suggested at sign-up and can be reduced at any time.
Loss & Wager Limits
A loss limit caps net losses over a period (deposits minus withdrawals); a wager limit caps total stake regardless of outcome. Both are configurable daily, weekly or monthly. Loss limits suit players who care about end-of-month bottom line; wager limits suit players who want to control time-on-spin behaviour. Defaults are suggested at sign-up and can be set lower at any time.
Session-Time Limits & Reality Checks
A reality check is a pop-up that interrupts play at intervals you choose: 15, 30, 60 or 120 minutes. The pop-up shows time on site, net profit/loss for the session, and gives you a single click to continue or log out. The mandatory default for new accounts is 60 minutes; the longest reality-check interval permitted is 120 minutes. Session-time limits trigger automatic logout once the chosen duration is reached.
Self-Exclusion (Temporary & Permanent)
Self-exclusion locks the account for a chosen period. Five durations are available: 24 hours, 7 days, 1 month, 6 months, 1 year, permanent. During exclusion the account is fully locked, marketing communications stop, and the cashier balance is returned to your last-used GCash, Maya, PayMaya or bank account in accordance with the Terms. The first six months of any exclusion period are irrevocable in line with PAGCOR standard. For cross-platform protection across all PAGCOR-regulated operators, separately submit PAGCOR Form RG via osea.pagcor.ph (see the next section).
Time-Out / Take-a-Break
A shorter cool-off than self-exclusion: 24 hours, 72 hours or 7 days. Useful after a heavy session or a tilt-prone day. Activate in Account → Responsible Gaming → Time-Out. Marketing pauses for the period; balance remains untouched; the account unlocks automatically at the end.
Account Closure
Account closure is administrative and reversible — you can request re-opening after a 24-hour cooling-off. Use closure if you simply want to stop playing; use self-exclusion if you want an enforceable block.
PAGCOR Self-Exclusion — Cross-Platform Protection
VegaStar account-level self-exclusion locks your VegaStar account only. To extend protection across every PAGCOR-regulated venue and PAGCOR-licensed online operator in the Philippines, complete PAGCOR Form RG (Self-Exclusion) via osea.pagcor.ph or by emailing [email protected]. The Form RG application requires a valid PH government ID plus a 2×2 photo. Periods: 6 months (the first 6 months are irrevocable), 1 year, 5 years, or permanent. PAGCOR-enrolled exclusion is enforced at PAGCOR-licensed online and land-based operators across the country.

How to Help a Family Member
A loved one’s gambling can be as painful for the family as for the person playing. Five practical starting points.
- Talk early, not in the middle of an argument. Choose a calm moment and lead with concern rather than accusation.
- Keep money and credentials separate. Do not bail out repeated losses — it removes the natural consequence that motivates change.
- Get information first. Gamblers Anonymous PH (0915 938 2808) and PAGCOR RG ((02) 8538 9090) both speak to family members, not only to players.
- Consider PAGCOR Family Exclusion. A spouse, parent or adult child can apply to have a relative excluded from PAGCOR-regulated venues; the operator processes the application after eligibility check.
- Look after yourself. Affected family members often benefit from their own counselling — Bridges of Hope and Life Change Recovery both run family-track support.
Self-Assessment Questionnaire
This is not a diagnostic test — it is a starting prompt. Answer yes/no honestly. Three or more "yes" answers suggest a conversation with a specialist is worth having.
- Have you bet more money than you could comfortably afford to lose in the past month?
- Have you needed to gamble with larger amounts of money to get the same feeling of excitement?
- Have you returned another day to try to win back losses?
- Have you borrowed money or sold anything to fund gambling?
- Have you felt that gambling caused you stress, anxiety or low mood?
- Have people who know you well criticised your gambling or expressed concern?
- Have you missed work, school or family commitments because of gambling?
Interpretation: 0 — typical recreational play, keep using limit tools. 1–2 — worth a pause and a reset of limits. 3+ — contact Gamblers Anonymous PH, PAGCOR RG, or a counsellor for a conversation.
PAGCOR Public Awareness Tagline
PAGCOR’s public-awareness tagline for the 2026 cycle — "Gambling is addictive, know when to stop" — is being rolled out across Philippine languages. VegaStar agrees with the principle and surfaces the message in-app on every long session and in our welcome flow. Knowing when to stop is the single most important skill in gambling.
Updates to This Policy
